A children's gift exchange is held every year as part of the Barony of Bryn Gwlad's Yule revel. Each participating child is given the name of another, for whom (s)he brings to the event a gift that cost $10 or less. This year the barony's revel will be combined with those of the Shire of Fynnon Gath and the Incipient Stronghold of Hellsgate into one super-sized fun-for-all event on Saturday, December 12th, at the Georgetown Community Center in Georgetown, Texas.

It is too late to sign your child up to participate in the exchange this year. If you will be attending the revel, however, and are concerned your child might feel "left out", you may bring a gift for your child yourself. It will be placed with the exchange gifts, and given when they are.

It is strongly encouraged that gifts and their packaging be plausibly medieval. We want the exchange to fit into the event nicely, and the children to be able to play with their presents without disrupting the atmosphere. And, of course, period gifts have the added benefit of being appropriate for use at future S.C.A. events, and can help kids get into the spirit of the Society.
